Āhvān Chapter 16: Harmonising Polarities
Inner conflict is a natural part of being human. Whether it’s between two emotions, two needs or two values, these experiences can leave us feeling stuck, exhausted or uncertain. In this workshop, we’ll explore a DBT-based mindfulness approach to understanding and navigating these tensions.

About the event
Can I be kind and still say no? Can I love someone and still have boundaries? Can I be vulnerable and still be strong? Can I let go of control and still be responsible? Can I ask for help and still be independent? Can I be grateful for what I have and still want something more? Can I feel afraid and still take the next step?
Life often presents us with situations where two equally important needs, values or emotions seem to pull us in different directions. We may feel caught between caring for ourselves and caring for others, accepting what is and wanting change, speaking up and keeping the peace. In this workshop, we’ll explore a DBT-based mindfulness approach to recognising, understanding and harmonising these inner polarities.
